Personal Growth.

Learning to honestly acknowledge your wants, hopes, fears and desires, and walking away from that which precedes to induce insecurity and pain, is testament to a great level of emotional maturity.

Know yourself.

Be authentic.

Be the change.

Only Angels Have Wings

 Only Angels Have Wings (2014)

Performance to camera collaboration

Natalie Raven & Rachel Parry

A few updates...

Ive been very slack recently in regards to updating my blog, so here are a few updates on what I've been up to over the last few months...

*

At the end of August, Dagmar and I began looking at the uses of space in religious worship. We attended some Christian services in Plymouth, notably at St Andrews Church. The use of theatricality in worship was apparent.

In September I was super busy!

Dagmar and I did some R&D for a new performance piece entitled C-u-t P-i-e-c-e, which is a re-worked version of Yoko Ono's seminal performance...

September also brought us the Leather and Latex, where Flo joined us for a performance-to-camera experiment one evening after dinner.

One of my favourite collaborations came in September, with Dagmar and I producing a series of images entitled 'Quality Hotel'

In October 2015,  I performed as part of the Serena Korda commission for Plymouth Art Weekender, Tinside Lido

Dagmar and I did a lot of research and development in October, taking a good look at the use of clothing / costume / adornment in religion, and responding to its iconography.

*

Then came the live art duel on Tothill park in full gimp attire!

*

Putting our research to good use, we developed replica nuns habits out of card and fabric, testing out costumes which we would then develop a performance piece around.
